Oh hey, Spore is out. How is it?
They shipped my copy of Spore just now!:D I'll have it in my mailbox tommorow! OMG:P
I just got the demo, tell me if you like the real thing.
How much is it?
Well the price really varies from place to place, but I paid around USD61 for my copy.
Guys, I am so disappointed. Spore comes out the 7th. I thought yesterday was the fourth. BUT TODAY IS THE 3RD!!! I thought it came out Friday, but it actually comes out Sunday. This sucks I was looking forward to Friday sooo much and now I have to wait 'till Sunday. I....don't know if I can take it anymore....

Oooh! I just made the coolest creature but deleted him. I'll try to replicate and post.
uhm.... the releasedate for spore is the 4th here in EU... don't know about your place, but my copy will be in my mailbox in a few hours... go check out the Spore forum, too. Loads of people already have it, and more will receive it today, so it is out indeed.Quote:

I've seen Spore advertised on TV. What's it like? Is there anything much to it except making creatures?
My laptop's graphics card would probably be crushed by it anyway. :P
its requirements are actually pretty low for a game coming out this year. Basically you start as a single celled organism, you kind of play a prettied up version of the whole basic 2D game where you can eat bacteria smaller then you and have to avoid the ones that are bigger. You earn DNA points during this which you can use to add a spike to your creature or say a tail to swim faster etc. After a while of doing this( adding spikes and stuff makes your final creature a predator were as tails or upgrades to make you run away make you a herbivore, so i am told) you start to make a proper creature, you earn DNA points again and you also have to find a mate at some point and have an egg and look after the babies, you earn DNA points doing all this to add more to your creature until finally you get to a tribal stage which is like civilization but a small scale. Then you get proper cities so it is more like civilization or games of that genre. After battling other races on your planet with tanks and the like( or being friendly, up to you but sometimes other races wont be friendly) you eventually get a spaceship and so you can explore other galaxies with thousands of other planets to visit and races to meet, kind of an open ended game really.
It sounds fun, cuddleyperson.
