Opening the cd/dvd player on a laptop without power.

My computer has malfunctioned and I need to ship it off...but I have a cd in there I really need to get out and use right now...I don't have time to wait time is a big issue for me at this point.

Does anyone know how to open up a completely powered down laptop cd/dvd player thing?

There's usually a pin-hole for sticking in a paper-clip
this manually turns the gears on the tray
