I cannot go on youtube anymore without "additional charges" it says.
I don't understand is this only an iphone thing or can my ipod touch still use youtube without them.

Am I free to go? I mean I don't see how this applies to me but I am still confused.
Go to Settings, General then scroll down until you see what version you have.
I have 2.2 and I don't have the problem you speak of.
Also, which iPod Touch do you have- 1st or 2nd generation? (does it have sound without headphones?)
I have the first generation.
I haven't synced my iPod in weeks. I don't use YouTube often, but I like it being there and being free. If it changed during an update, I'm not sure I want to sync it any time soon...
Hmm I have 1.1.4 first generation... or at least I think. Yup I can get sound without headphones if I choose too. I don't think it changed because this has been happening about a month after I got it. (Two christmas' ago)Quote:

They say it's heavy on the data connection, you might exceed your data limit, which costs money.
You can take the risk, but it's still a risk ;)
It's just a warning on the youtube website because videos use a lot of data. If you're on a touch using wifi, don't worry about it - there won't be any extra charges.
