Cheap AT&T replacement phone?

I drowned my phone today :(

It was in pretty bad shape anyway, but now I'm two months away from getting a break on an upgrade and I need a new phone. I might just end up getting one of the GoPhones and dropping my SIM card in it, but I was wondering if anyone had advice, either on a better phone I can get on the cheap, or where to look for a good deal.

The extent of my phone shopping before was always just looking for the best free one on AT&T's website--this is the first that didn't outlast its contract :P

Sooo, as a word to the wise, if you find yourself needing a 'bridge' phone on AT&T, your best bet is probably to hit either a Target or Walmart and pick up a GoPhone for $15-20. Even if you only need it for the weekend, you can tuck it away as a back-up phone afterward.

In my case, I'm going to try to eke it out until July and see what kind of break I can get on a decent phone then. It'll be hard, given that this thing's total storage appears to be in the 2-3MB range, which will necessitate constant weeding of my texts. Also, it appears to be pulling only 3/4 of my contacts off my SIM card--maybe those contacts were stored on the Micro-SD or in my old phone's memory, and either way they're synced to my computer, but there's no way to get them on this phone now :P

I may also take this opportunity to educate myself on the secondary market for phones, and/or to dissect my old phone(s) >:-1
