I like Aim better. Skype wouldn't even work on my computer, I was watching a friend use it on his comp, and it kept distorting everyone's voice.

AIM, skype doesn't integrate into iChat :P Why just AIM and Skype in the poll? Why not MSN, Yahoo, Bonjour, and Google Talk?
Yes.

I just use Pidgin for MSN and AIM, then Google Talk (which is handy for email notifications), and Skype only when I have a decent internet connection (dial-up at home, unfortunately).
So as to the question, AIM.
I use skype with my gf every day. Its only mean on some occasions lol.
Sometimes I find myself in 8 hour long Skype conversations with my friends, playing games, watching movies and series and talking about different things.
AIM seems to be a program that mainly americans use, obviously because of its roots in AOL. My first IM program was MSN Messenger. I used Yahoo for a short while because of the drawing capeabilities. Then Skype came, and I found out that IRC was pretty damn awesome aswell.
These days I'm using Live Messenger (MSN), Skype, Steam and XChat (IRC).
