I guess this belongs in Tech Talk.
I may be getting an old SLR camera for my birthday.
I was just wondering if any of these places that still develop film will scan the photographs and email them to you?

Of course. You can take your film to a local Wolf Camera (or Ritz Camera) or other local shop, or send it off to any of several well-known online film processing companies. They'll scan (and digitally develop) the negatives and produce digital copies that they can then email or send to you on disc, if you request.
May I ask what model SLR you'll be getting, if you know? And do you know what lens or lenses will be included? The glass is everything. :D
I wish I knew.
All I know is that I might be getting a used SLR for my birthday.
