I understood how magnet links downloads work. I did download also without a tracker. But I've found out that if you pause the download (close the client), the data is lost and you have to restart from scratch. Any tips? Maybe I did something wrong... I am using uTorrent.

Hmm, magnet link shouldn't do what you described.

Specialis, I'll throw some more details.
I went on TPB and clicked on the magnet link and it opened on uTorrent. It was a movie. Started downloading and at one point I closed uTorrent. When I opened it back, it started at 0%. I went to the file's emplacement and found it there (I always pre-allocate) with 700MB. Weird. I'll try it again with another file now.
PS: I download directly from the wireless to my HDD. And it's not the first time, I've always done that. It's pretty insane if you think about it. How I am wireless trackerless and download at like 300 kb/s. Thank god for technology.
Let it sit for a minute. It may be doing a check to see what has already been downloaded and will continue from that point.
Yeah I thought that that what it was doing, but I just waited, saw that it went to 0.1% and understood it isn't checking the file but downloading it... Anyways. WAS IT A DREAM?
Bah, it works fine, it was just me. You can pause, stop and exit uTorrent without affecting the download. It's only if you 'Remove' the torrent that you have to start all over again. Thanks for the replies...
