Facebook AOL/IE Popup issue...

I think this is best posted here, but I dunno. I use Firefox, but other people in my family use AOL. When they're on Facebook with AOL, occasionally (alot more common this week), Internet Explorer will continually open up new tabs with the facebook homepage on them. No matter how I try to close it down for them, they keep popping up. I've narrowed the solution down to just closing AOL altogether, and then closing Internet Explorer, but that only solves it until the next time.


Has anyone else had this issue before, and know what might cause it, and how to fix it? The last time I had random pop ups, was when I had what I think was the Virtumundo (sp?) virus. I got rid of that as best I could, but now they're having this Facebook issue with the homepage popping up in IE over and over until I close AOL and then IE (in that order).

I bet it is due to an application running in Facebook, that for some reason doesn't work in the AOL browser, so it opens up IE. to run the application.

That might be it. I'll look into testing a few different applications and see whats up with it.
