How to WILD
Alright, so ever since I've been trying to actively lucid dream lately, I've been using the WILD method. It seemed to be the easiest to me. The first few times I used an alarm clock, but that didn't work out, so I drank a lot of water beforehand and it woke me up seemingly before a REM period of sleep(about 5-6 hours into my sleep). Lately, however, without drinking water or doing anything, I seem to be waking up naturally right after dreams and realizing I'm awake, so that's made it even easier to WILD.
However, I seem unable to get into SP. I try to focus, but I also try to stay still and "fall asleep" while staying aware mentally. I always fall asleep. Are there any methods you guys know to keep yourself mentally aware? No matter what I've done lately, I'm constantly falling asleep.

What do you think about as you are trying to stay aware while your body falls asleep? For me, it was always easier to concentrate on a routine. In other words think about something that isn't boring but that you know very well. For me this was always martial arts forms. They were step by step, so I could imagine myself doing them in my mind, and they were interesting enough that my thoughts wouldn't drift too much. Try to think of a hobby you enjoy, and imagine yourself doing that in your head as you lay there. The problem then will be focusing on it, but not keeping yourself too conscious. It is a tough balance to strike, but you'll get there.
