My Experiences attaining a LD

Well, I started trying to lucid dream about a year ago. I've been diagnosed with insomnia so sleeping is very sporadic for me. I don't know if insomnia has much to do with what i'm going to share in my experiences but I think it does. Anyways... before I was diagnosed with insomnia I use to take naps after school. My ears would have a very loud ring in them and my body would become hard to move. When this first happened to me I was very scared as I would try very hard to move and wake up. I would then try to go back to sleep without that happening and it would happen a few more times after that. After being a little confused on wth was going on I looked it up and read that it was most likely my body entering sleep paralysis. I then did some more research and became interested in attaining lucidity.

ENTERING SP - In my experience trying to have a LD, I never had to try and enter SP, it happened quite often, even when I don't want/expect it to. My ears ring very loud and I see a lot of colors and sometimes other visuals such as clouds.

DURING SP - Once I enter sleep paralysis, I would slowly count in my head. This works to prevent myself from falling asleep. I have no problem entering SP and sustaining consciousness but my trouble is transitioning into a dream.

TRANSITION TO LD - While i'm in SP I need some way to transition into a dream. If I stay in SP too long, I normally wake up. I've read other forums and people said trying "rolling over". I'm not sure if they mean to literally trying rolling over but I tried it anyways.

LD - Well once I tried the rolling over method, it worked. I don't know if i was lucky or performed it correctly but it got me into a false awakening a few times. During these false awakening everything seems to be normal so I did a RC by holding me nose and breathing trying to breathe through it and of course I could. Another problem I have is staying asleep. I think its because I get really excited and even scared sometimes. Sometimes I rush to get up and try and do things I wouldn't normally be able to do.

Well if you read all that thanks and basically what I want to know is:

1. Do my experiences sound normal, like obtaining SP without trying. Is that actually SP?

2. Is "rolling over" mean to actually try and rollover? And what other methods are there to transition to a LD from SP.

3. Last is, staying asleep in a LD once I attain it. I believe I know the answer already such as, staying clam, not moving much in the beginning, feeling the texture of things and just taking it slow step by step instead of rushing. Any other advice is welcomed too.

Thanks for your time guys, I hope I don't get flamed for some reason lol, like telling me to search for answers to my questions. I mainly wanted to share my experience and get a little advice.

Sorry about the double post but I could not find the edit button. Another thing I want add is, during about 75% of my regular REM dreams, I am quickly find out I am dreaming. I ask think to myself while i'm and say things to myself like, My name is ____ and I know I am dreaming. Almost all scary dreams, I stick around until something I don't want to be around is happening and I decide to wake myself up. I can't really manipulate the environment too much, but i can actively participate in it. Would this be considers a type of LD, not WILD but of a different sort, I think DILD, dream initiated lucid dream?

I also forgot to mention above about SP that I can enter it within 30 seconds-2 minutes of laying down. Idk if that has any influence on anything.

Hello. I'm pretty much like you, I do attain SP and vibrations, but I can't seem to enter a dream.

I have a question for you: when you mean ''rolling over'' did you really roll over or you imagined yourself rolling ? You did this after a specific point (like after you felt the vibrations, HI, etc) ?

I actually tried rolling over. Once I felt like I was in SP for a good enough time usually during HI because when the HI stop it goes black and that because it the back of my eyelids lol. Idk how I judged what time was right, just when it felt right, I tried to actually roll over and it worked.

When you say ''roll over'', it's like changing position to sleep on your side ?
Many times I think I had a failed WILD, and just change my position (as you can see at the thread I just created here at the WILD section), but never do the RC, hehe.

I don't have the answers to your other questions, as I am a beginner at the WILD technique, looking for tips too :)

well i sleep on my stomach with my head to the side so for me it was kind of like doing the motion of rolling to my back.
