What is a WILD?
Hi all, I keep seeing the term 'WILD' being used, I've searched (granted not as well as I could have) threads that explain what it is but all I see are techniques to achieve it.
Can anyone explain what a WILD is and what things happen during a dream that classify it as such?
Thanks!

The term "WILD" is an abbreviation for "wake induced lucid dream". It basically means going directly from the waking state to the dreaming state without a lapse of consciousness; in other words, you're aware as your body shuts down and goes to sleep. You relax and stay still for a fairly long period of time, and then your body will think you've fallen unconscious, ready to fall asleep. It goes into sleep paralysis and during this time you might feel vibrations, hear strange noises such as whispering, experience falling sensations, and even feel something moving on your bed. What you experience differs from time to time, though. Then the dream basically creates itself around you.
It's recommended that you research a bit about sleep paralysis (known on DV as "SP") before attempting a WILD, many people manage to enter sleep paralysis and then break out of it because they're so surprised as to what happens during it.

AHHHH that makes so much sense. I wondered why I was a little more in-tune with other energies before I'm asleep. This is a perfect answer, exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
