What exactly am I supposed to do while in SP?
I have reached SP two times by suddenly becoming aware after falling asleep.
First time I just waited and waited, and eventually nothing happened and I woke up.
And second time(20 min ago) I tried to move but I woke myself up!
Btw, I could barely open my eyes but I did see a dark shaped figurine above me.
You should just keep your mind clear yet aware while in SP/HH. It takes most people lots of practice, so you shouldn't think you will get it the first time. Some people get lucky on their first time. Some even get it accidentally!
For your second comment, don't worry, it's nothing but a HH (hypnogogic hallucination). It's a very common HH people have dubbed "The Old Hag", and people for many centuries believed it to be a demon, while in fact it isn't. Some people even think it is one today! (more because most people don't know shit about SP/HH/LDs). It will be scary and could scare you awake, but just do your best to ignore it and remember that it isn't real.

Wait it out until you enter a dream. If you move during SP/HH you will just ruin the attempt completely, forcing you to start over.Quote:
