Close to SP or was it SP
so like a half hour ago i tried to do the WILD during a nap
so like i laid down and started breathing and when i would breathe in i thought reeeeeeee and then when i exhaled i thought laaaaaxxxxxx
so i read today that when u are in SP ur senses are pretty much gone
so my mom was beading in the kitchen and im in my room and she had the space heater on and so i used that as like a way to tell if i was maybe in SP
so as it progressed the sound of the heater started to become faint
and at times i swear i couldnt hear it
then i felt like this washing feeling over me and it was really feeling weird and it feelt like i was i guess you could say "inside myself"
so my vision was trained on the back of my eyelids and like the longer i breathed in the feeling seemed to get stronger
but then my brother came in the door and started talking to my mom so then they were making too much noise so i quit
but how close was i?:D

You were very close and was experiencing the on-set/early stages of SP. It hadn't fully set in yet, but it was definitely starting to set in. Congrats on your progress! You would have definitely felt the full SP if your brother hadn't pulled you out of it. You were possibly just 15 or so, seconds away from full SP.

Yeah, I think you were pretty close. Sometimes the early forms of SP will take several minutes before the full fledged SP kicks in/sets in. Just keep at it and you should have no problem getting it to kick in. Just stay confident and keep a positive view toward the process. Don't get discouraged and just try to learn from each failed attempt.

hey so is that breathing technique i was using a good way to relax? it seemed pretty effective

Yeah it sounds like it worked well for you. With dreaming there is a lot of flexibility. If you find something that works for you...keep using it. If it gets you relaxed then that is perfect. There are many strategies and techniques out there...they work well for some and won't work for others. Everyone's mind is unique, so it is good to try many things and see what works best for you. It seems you have already found a good breathing technique that works well for you. Nice!
