Getting Beyond the Threshold of Sleep Paraylsis?
Last night I tried WILDing again. The first initial trys before WBTBing I could feel my body begin to go numb, but it never fully did so. When my body begins going into at least what I perceive to be SP my breathing increases. I browsed around the forums last night and found a post where someone had something similar. The idea was to control your breathing so that it mimiced the slow, rhythmic breaths of sleep. I did that all night long but I think taking active control of my breathing forced the SP out of me, even as my consciousness began dwindling.
Like I said when I try to WILD without WBTBing the SP always stops then fades. I set an alarm, a very soft, light alarm to gently wake me several times in the night. I tried WILDing after doing a WBTB (without leaving my bed, just tried it as soon as I woke up, getting my mind to wake up without moving my body) WHILE in SP. I'd wake up and not move and my arms and lips everything were numb -- except my lungs/chest. And as I tried rhythmically controlling my breath (because again my lungs started pumping very fast) the SP would wear off. I'd still myself, relax, relax, it would start again but then ebb away, each time it's hold a little less until finally, I was fully awake and just rolled over, basically saying F-it and then tried in a new position.
I was so damn close, guys. I was in SP, at least when I woke up. I didn't move. Just... couldn't hold it.
