Was I almost there?
I woke up six hours after falling asleep, got out of bed and took a restroom break. I then took a sip of water and then laid in my comfortable position. I then began to take slow deep breaths all the way up to 100, focusing on counting but not too focused that it was all I could think about. My plan was then to count back down to 1 while still aware so I could enter my first Lucid Dream. But I think that I had trouble transitioning. My hands went completely numb and I could barely feel my feet but that was all that was happening. No hallucinations or other sleep paralysis signs. I counted down to 1 and with no avail, I repostioned myself and started chanting mantras in my head for the sake of a DILD, but when I woke up in the morning, no dreams that I could remember at all. So I guess my question is, was I close to a WILD or was I way off? Thanks. :?

It's actually hard to say. I think you were closer to sleep paralysis, but you were definately on the right track. It happens to me sometimes. I will have a perfect setup for a lucid dream, get really close to entering, and then wake up the next morning.
Damn.

Well how do I know when I enter full blown sleep paralysis. Just being numb was kind of getting old. I didn't have any HI either.
