Questions about SP to LD

I have gotten into SP many times, but most of the time the effects are quite mild, for example I have felt vibrations, some colors, a voice once, ringing/weird sounds in the ear, but not once have i gotten the roll over. I have yet to wild successfully out of id say 50 attempts give or take. I believe the main thing holding me back is I don't understand the processes. Today when i tried I got a fairly detailed picture of a wolf running through a forest area, snow, pine trees, even the movement was there for about 3 seconds. Also heard the sounds and breathing of the wolf. But I get weird images like that quite a bit each attempt, all random, usually just have sound/visual, some include me others don't, last a few seconds at most. Anyhow any clue what those are and can they be used to get into the LD in anyway?
My usually Wild attempt involves me going through many of those images, SP hits, I lose it sometimes or fall asleep others, if i lose it i try again until i fall asleep during one of the SP's. I am missing something it feels like, but I just don't know what. Any advice is appreciated, the more details the better.
