What did I experience?
So, it was 2am when I decided to go to sleep and attempt a WILD. I began to relax and let my mind wander. Remembering not to focus to hard on these thoughts. Eventually my legs began to feel numb, followed by my hands.
At this point I was very relaxed and continued to let my mind wander. A few moments later my eyes began to vibrate for around 15-20 seconds. I've experience this before in my first WILD attempt, ( this is my second ) but this is as far as I have gotten. After a few minutes, I had this sensation of my body rolling over and spinning around in my bed. This felt awesome.
Then I had a different feeling which is hard to explain. I could feel my body as if it were on the ceiling of my room, looking down at myself sleeping. I then began to notice all the changes an feelings to my body and I slowly came back to reality.
I wasn't sure if it was SP or the stage just before SP.
So what did I experience?
Sorry for the long post. And thank you in advance for the time and help.

Sounds like SP to me, any strange sensations especially vibrations are characteristic of SP especially the spinning and rolling sensations.
Also "long post" heh you haven't seen 90% of what I type out I guess

I'm pretty sure that was SP. I basically experienced this last time I DEILDed except I only felt the spinning and then I kinda folded into myself and when I opened my eyes I was dreaming.

If you went to bed at 2 AM, then I am assuming you fell asleep at the beginning of your sleep cycle, which means you weren't entering REM. Therefore I don't see how it could have been Sleep Paralyis. I was never able to enter SP at the beginning of the night, which makes perfect sense.
It might have been some form of OBE (out of body experience), although I am skeptical of those.
There is also the possibility that it was a dream that happened later during the night, and you interpreted it as being right after falling asleep.

You shouldn't be skeptical of OBE's they're just a different transition process from a WILD, Stephen LaBerge often commented on them merely being identical to performing a WILD, its just a different form of expectation which presents itself as a bizarre experience. Also a lot of people can enter SP at the beginning of the night mainly those are people who have already performed WILD numerous times with WBTB there's a thread in this section by Maekel on how to perform a pre-WBTB WILD.
