hypnotic images

I got a question, when i go to bed and close my eyes. I don't move a muscle or more importantly my eyes even a slight bit. when i do this i see images like a big blue stone for example very clearly.

i only heard this happens when ur in a rem cycle or afther a couple hours of sleep (part of sleep paralysis) but i have it without getting even a bit of sleep. I just wonder if this is normal and if u guys get this a lot? and if i would go with the flow would i end up in a dream in sucha short period?

btw this hypnotic image thing happens afther 5-10 minutes and i have those vibrations, but i always mess up i open my eyes always afther this.. Im sorry if my english is bad. :(

That's called hypnagogia, it usually appears before you fall aslep, or in case of hypnopompia after you slept.
However something similar can happen throughout the day, in my case it starts appearing frequently when I get tired, I then get image flashes when I close my eyes. I think it's not anything too unnormal.
As for the vibrations, you seem to be starting WILDs, you should inform yourself about them.

I often find myself experiencing Hypnogogic sensations right as I'm dosing off. An entire dream scene or impression might poof into my mind's eye and then I'll regain full awareness. The common misconception about hypnogogia is that you've most likely experienced it thousands of times before you even knew what Lucid Dreaming is. You don't have to lay still and perfectly aware to experience it. In fact that's the quickest way to repress it since it only happens when you're starting to slip into sleep.

I had overall 3 lucid dreams since im trying all sort of stuff out, but it seems that afther 4-6 hours of sleep it's impossible to wild how long do u guys average lay still before it takes effect?

Cause i can't see to get those vibrations/images for some reason and my body always wants to move or atleast some part of my body (i refuse to move them though). all my lucids where natural (and 2 of them i had on the same evening) so i never experienced a lucid while im doing a wild. So i was just wondering if im doing something wrong?

I checked many tutorials out try to work them out but i never get good results even though i do everything it tells me to, ofcourse i know that the first time i always the hardest time. it gets at times quite hard to keep trying it over and over again.

Maybe u guys have like a secret tip that u guys use? btw for my wild i wake up natural before trying it with is mostly around 4-6 hours. i'm also trying the dream exit i beleve when i wake up i don't move anything and i get a instant wild, but i open my eyes always so need a bit work there still :panic:

Anyways, here's the point I wanted to make, you're focusing way too much on the waking awareness portion of WILD. What you need to think more about is what most guides are very vague on--sometimes leaving out completely; and that is the importance of just going to sleep. Now most people associate sleep as unconsciousness, which is true, so then you ask the question "Aren't I supposed to be awake and let my body fall asleep?" Well yes, but not awake as in the sense of what most people think. Think of it this way, when you normally go to bed at night to go to sleep do you put any real effort into the actual act of going to sleep? No, it naturally happens. This is exactly what you need to do with WILD except hold on to just a little sliver of consciousness.

Here's the scientific bit, when you're awake and moving about your brain knows what state it's in, and it knows that you're awake when you make WILD attempts based on some of the guides floating around. Why, you ask? Well the reason is because when you're laying still and focusing on the act of relaxation most people make the mistake of not focusing the mind as well, which means the brain is still in a waking state of mind. There isn't any such thing as a Roll Over Signal/Mind awake, body asleep technique. Your success on a WILD has everything to do with brain chemistry. If anything the relaxation part is really about lowering yourself to a different tier of consciousness, because as you fall asleep your brain changes dramatically and will change dramatically during a dream. So to sum it up, if you want to WILD you need to train yourself to fall asleep normally whilst being only slightly conscious. That way your brain can make the appropriate changes which will bring on Sleep Paralysis and Hypnogogic Sensations.

As you asked above how long we'd lay still before anything would happen, what I will say is forever. Because nothing will happen if I remain in a waking state, most sensations you experience are due to the changes in sensory input. This is where people think roll over signals exist is because the sensation to move means it's a test. This isn't true, in fact the urge to move is just because your body is uncomfortable, it moves throughout the night. The urge to itch is caused by the same reason, you're just uncomfortable. I hope this helps you out some, I know once I discovered this it helped a ton. I just wish it got to me much sooner.
