how do i focus in a wild i have tried counting my breaths, locking onto a picture and even counting to 1,2,3 but it does not work. the closest i have been to is just numbness througout my body help me please

First of all what time are you WILDing? That can affect if the WILD will be successful or not.
When you are counting, how much do you count to? It isn't recommended to count 1-100+. Instead it is best if you count 1-10 while WILDing because once you get to ten you have to be aware/focused enough to start over at one. Another thing you could try is actually visualizing the dream scene you would like to me in. Visualize it using all senses, not just your sight. One more idea is to just focus on external noise like a fan.
Just remember to stay relaxed, and don't become too aware! You are tricking your body into falling asleep while your mind is awake so you just need to relax and let the WILD come to you naturally.
