I can't find a good sleeping position to start WILDing

I fall asleep most naturally on my side, kind of curled up. When my alarm sounds for WBTB, I try to start when I'm lying on my back because I read that that's the easiest position for WILD. But my body gets uncomfortable very quickly, and if I'm not very tired, I'll be lying on my back for a long time. A lot of times I end up almost involuntarily rolling on my side because the relief is immediate.
But every time I try on my side, it's hard to control my breathing, and worst of all, I end up being so comfortable I slip into regular sleep with only a half-hearted attempt at WILD. I also haven't felt SP when I'm on my side.
So either I can't do the dream part, or I can't do the lucid part. What do I do?

You should definitely do WILDs on your side if that's your natural sleeping position. I've only had one WILD, but it was after I stopped attempting them lying on my back and started doing them in my natural sleeping position (on my side). One of the main parts of WILDing is falling asleep, and that won't happen easily if you're uncomfortable.

I agree. You have to be comfortable for this to work.

You wnt to attempt a WILD in the most comfy position you can get into. I usually lay on my back with my hands behind my head. My feet legs are in whatever position I feel is most comfy at the time.
Current status: Practicing my WILD method.
