WILDs seem to pan out one of two ways for me.
I've found in my recent experiences of WILDing that I either fall to sleep very steeply and reach the brink of sleep paralysis quite quickly, I experience a hypnic jerk, my heart is pounding and I then find it very difficult to relax/concentrate and eventually fall asleep unconscious.
Or, I fall to sleep very shallowly, experiencing a variety of hypnagogic imagery ranging from almost free association-like thoughts and images through to auditory and tactile sensations, sometimes even hypnagogic 'micro-dreams' (as I like to call them). I find it difficult to sustain these times as I invariably slip too deep into the reverie of hypnagogia to hold onto consciousness long enough to enter a dream, or simply give up from fatigue.
I have a feeling that there's something I'm missing that could bring success from both those scenarios, any advice from experienced WILDers?
