Was this a non REM WILD?

This is something I did by accident a few months ago. And I just heard about wilds at night time out of rem and thought this might of been one.

The experience:
I wad tired and had a note folded up in my hand, I sat on the couch and wanted to rest my eyes and maybe have a little sleep. But I realy didn't want any of my family to Se the note and couldn't be bothered putting it somewhere else. So I closed my eyes and went to sleep whilst keeping a little bit of focus in not dropping the note. That kept me conscious untill I realized I was having a long complecated thought that I wasn't in control of, it was thinking it self. And I wasn't just thinking it I was watching it. Like a little dream.

What was this?
A non rem dream? Or just a day dream or something else

Hypnagogic 'micro-dreams' or 'dreamlets' or whatever you choose to call them :) While I'm not sure I think they are Non-REM phenomena as I personally usually experience them when going to sleep in the afternoon or evening. If you retain awareness while letting yourself be drawn into them you may enter a lucid dream. That note is an interesting idea for an environmental anchor, maybe you could try again with some other object?

yea il try it again. i think il just fold up a piece of paper and try not to drop it. and shift my awerness to it every now and then to make sure its still there.
