I agree. My sleep mask has done wonders for my LD, as it works as a reality check. If im seeing anything, i know im dreaming.
I once used a timer method to induce WILDS or OBEs, whichever you want to call them, and used my sleep mask. After the timer went off, i would feel my body back in bed, and i would wait until i could see my room. As soon as it appeared, i knew that i was free to get up and move around. I had like 9 or 10 consecutive lucid dreams doing this, it was a really awesome experience.
I also find that after i got used to wearing it every night, it feels really nice on my eyes. I feel like i can relax even deeper, as it shuts my eyes for me lol. When i sleep without it, it feels as if i have to squeeze my eyes shut and it keeps me awake longer.
