I get to SP often but I don't get anywhere because i focus on my SP and my body which makes it go away. How do I not focus on it?

For me, it helps when I recite my mantra. Takes my mind off of everything else. When I start paying attention to any sensation, I just tell myself to stay calm, I don't care what's going on, I'm just trying to fall asleep. But I know what you mean, it's not easy. Try to play a role of observer, instead of participant.
Yeah, like gab, i love mental things to use as a place to put your focus on. I like to place my awareness in the void of my mind during the meditation that leads to SP/WILD
Definitely a tricky part of WILDing. Any strange sensation and my mind rushed back to consciousness, thinking "is this SP? Can I move? Maybe I'm transitioning! No, stop thinking ..." and so on. You have to find something that works best for you. A lot of times I'll have been in some mini-dream or storyline in my head that I didn't realize until the sensation brought me back to reality. Try not to exert too much brainpower and have something set that you can fill your head with. You could do mantras, as fOrceez and gab suggest; you could visualize a place you want to go, if you have a vivid imagination; you could try to FILD; you could slip back into a daydream. Whatever works best for you. You don't want to be conscious of your body, really, or of the WILDing procedure. It's counterintuitive, I know! But WILDs are a delicate balance between cooperating with and tricking your body and brain.
