close to wild??

hi,i was trying to wild for first time today,so,after a good sleep,i layed on my bed,and relaxed.i m sure that i didnt enter sleep paralysis,but i dont know if i got close to it.you know,my eyes wanted so much to open,and i started to see something from the dark,it reminded me the sky,but it wasnt blue(hallucination maybe??)then that thing began getting bigger and greener,and then i saw a very clear pattern.unfortunately,it was my blanket.i opened my eyes by mistake.. i tried succesfully to almost ignore the hallucinations,but this thing with the eyes going crazy,and the body getting tight,i can't go with it..

I know exactly what you are referring to. Sometimes when I try to WILD during the first sleep of the night by eyes do the same thing. As soon as the HI starts to appear, my eyes start going crazy. A good remedy to this problem is to try and roll your eyes as high upward as possible. It will stop them from rapidly wondering. If not, it does pass with time. Maybe a few minutes or so. Just really focus on your deep relaxing breathing. Once you get back to that relaxed state it will stop. You were probably also over excited about seeing HI for the first time (if it was your first time). That is a good indicator that you are on the right path to having a WILD so good job :) you will through experience and time how your body WILDs. Just keep with it!

thanks!!!i also want to ask,can it be possible not to have the scary hallucinations?as far as i remember i can recall times i woke up and not being able to move,probably in paralysis state,but i didnt see or hear anything,like others do.. is it likely that i m not the type with the scary things?because i read that some people have a quite pleasant time with HI

It really depends. Everyone can depending on the thoughts going through your mind. Everyone is different when in sleep paralysis and with the hallucinations. But it depends on how deep into the paralysis you are, your level of alertness. Multiple factors play in :)

oh..and i guess i have not big awareness in dreams,so i dont know what will happen in paralysis..i kinda fear of having a really hard time that will scare the shit out of me,because i heard that it would even cause heart attack

good morning!i have some more news! i tried almost 3times today to wild,between times that i woke up from dreams,and im getting confused about some things..each time i saw these patterns,but i really can't get past them.first,i had so strong vibrations tha felt impossible to calm down..then,in my other tries,were i was more sleepy,the patterns came and go without disturbing me,but not leading to SP.. i ve read that some people go lucid before SP catches them,but i really cant find the timing,are you supposed to fall asleep,or to surrender to your relaxation?thank you,and sorry if i m asking to much

This is why WILD is such a hard technique to master. Unfortunately even with advice there is little you will able to do right this instant and achieve a WILD. This is a technique that requires tons of practice and failed attempts, and your own personalization. I usually always get to the dream before SP hits, but thats just me. If you pay too much attention to the HI you will not enter a dream, it will in fact prevent you. It takes a lot of practice and being able to read your body to tell when your doing everything right. During WILD you never actually fall asleep, as in lose consciousness. You instead have to waver just above the threshold of passing out and remaining aware. Its such a fine line, that is why its very hard to discuss how to get there and stay there. You just have to give it time. When you see the HI just passively look by it, pretend its not even there. Just tough it out and stay relaxed and day dream, but remain conscious. Also the times at which you are practicing have a great effect. Make sure you do it after a WBTB, it is possible to do at pretty much any time but it is MUCH harder if you are just going to sleep for the first time.

You might want to rephrase this. It could be a little misleading to a newbie that reads it. I have seen people who think that WILDing actually involves staying awake. The meaning of that sentence might be hard to grasp for a person that has yet to experience falling asleep consciously.

Lol yes I guess it is. I apologize. What I really mean is yes, falling asleep consciously. This entails hovering on that line I was talking about. You technically DO fall asleep but you never actually lose consciousness. You may lose it in the transition phase if you are not careful enough, but you can maintain it the whole way through. Its not the kind of consciousness as in you know everything going on. Its a more passive consciousness. Just barely aware that you are awake. It is in this state that you can transition into the dream.

i think this covers my questions..i guess it's a thing you actually learn by yourself..one more question,is dream journal necessary for this technique?i know its important to remember your dreams,but as i understand,you can't forget a wild so simply...

I like to keep a dream journal just to have all my dreams down because it does always help keep the recall at its best.
