A new approach at dield?
this might not be new so sorry if its not, its just that ive never seen it before.
i have only had one deild and it was a long time ago, but i did it a different way.
i was in a dream (not lucid) and then i became lucid in the last maybe 20 seconds, because i saw the dream ending or fading away. so i knew i was waking up so i stayed still and did a dield.
so my question is instead of training yourself to see the back of your eye lids, or realise when you wake up, or wake up from an alarm, could you train yourself to realise when you are waking up?
imagine you were acctualy in a dream now, you dont know, but then you start waking up and everything is fading away and your becoming more aware of your real body. this is what i mean.

That is actually exactly how I do my DEILDS. I lost interest in lucid dreaming for a few months but now I'm getting back into it. That's how my first DEILD went and that is the way you chain them I suppose, when the old one fades get ready for the new one :P

Realizing when you wake up is how a DEILD happens. You don't need to train yourself to know what your eyelids look like...don't know if I would recognize them anyway. As long as you are aware that you are coming out of sleep and then slip back in without moving or opening your eyes...you should be able to go back to dreaming.
