First WILD - help?!
Hello. :P I've had random lucid dreams before but I think I'm going to start WILDing for more frequent dreams (plus I don't even DREAM a lot to begin with). The problem is... I'm way too scared. Apparently for some people you may think you can't breath? Plus you hear scary noises and see things? I'm also really frightened about SP. Please help D: Should I start trying when it's light out so I'm not as scared? Thanks.

Hey DiamondDreams, welcome to Dream Views!
I suggest you check out this link: http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/compre...5/#post1807704
I was afraid of SP too at first, but the more you understand what it really is, the less afraid you become. Also, if you wanna have consistent lucid dreams, I suggest you try out the easier techniques first, such as DILDs (and MILDs). WILD requires so much more patience, in my opinion, since it is harder to achieve properly.
You can also take a look at the current DVA courses, there is a WILD class there as well.
Good luck! I wish you all the best. Happy dreaming

There is a huge difference in having a random SP and deliberately inducing it. Even though they are the same phenomenon, the selfinduced SP feels easier due to knowing you made it happen... meaning SP is your bitch:)
WILD isn't actually hard at all. I learned it myself as a young teenager without anyone telling me how to do it or how hard/frightening it was. (Note that I was a wimp back then)
Having had LD:s before, I wanted to experience what it felt like falling asleep. Not just dozing off, but actually being SECRETLY AWARE through the process OF FALLING ASLEEP.
I suggest that you try out WILD. Find a guide if you think you need one or just try it out for yourself. Get some sleep before your attempt. Let go of everything around you, then let go of yourself and just do it:).
Good Luck and Greetings, Tucane

I want to try WILD aswell, but sleep paralysis scares me so much. I know it's nothing to be afraid of, but I seriously don't wanna see any aliens or demons lol. I've experienced it once though, but I woke up from a nightmare and ended up in Sleep Paralysis, it wasn't that scary. But yeah I'm afraid to induce it aswell. But apperently it's less scary if you do it in the early morning, because it'll be light outside.

Don't be a pussy. SP isn't even scary at all.
And yes you dream every night, you just maybe suck at recall.
But on the bright side, keep trying :D

Thank you guys! :) I'll be trying a WILD very soon. 1-2 hours from now.

I have had a number of WILDs. The experience was not scary.
As a parent of two children I have a high awareness normally. This makes WILD work very well for me, even without trying.
I found that WILD occurred for me most often afer I took my kids to school and came home to go back to sleep. I would crash out in a living room chair semi-reclined and this not only helped with awareness but also the nasty issue of the throat closing off which happens when people lie flat on their back.
If you are normally very aware of your surroundings there is every chance you will be successful with WILD. If you aren't you can simply try another method.
Best of luck! :)

I find WILDing waaay easier then DILD/WILD. Try whatever you want, different things work for different people
