WILD Questions
Hey guys I have a couple questions about wilding.
So last night I tried to WILD it was going good because I was able to get through the little pains that the brain does to check if you'r sleeping. After about half and hour my body started feeling really numb. About ten minutes after I felt a huge rush through my body and it kind of felt like a was falling through my bed a little bit. I got excited when this happened though. After the rush I thought I was in sleep paralysis but I had no HH and I was still getting tiny pains through out my body. After about ten minutes of waiting I gave up and decided to move my body, and it turned out that I could move my body just fine and was not in sleep paralysis !
So here's my questions...
What was that sudden rush?
How can I prevent myself from getting excited from the rush?
Why did I not reach sleep paralysis after the rush?
Thank for the help guys.

Sleep paralysis should never be the goal of WILDing, because when you focus on your body as you relax you will even if you have transitioned think that you are awake.
So imagine that it took 1 second to WILD and then you lay there looking for paralysation sensations and they never come. And if you suddenly think that you might be in a state of transition, (even though you actually are in the dream already!), you will probably get frustrated whne nothing is happening, and even if you don't get frustrated you will be afraid to move to ruin your sleep paralysis induction. And this is torture! Both for the mind and for the body.
I used to force myself to lay still for long periods of time just to see if I could enter a dream without losing consciousness, mainly for the reason that WILD was told to be more vivid and stable at the start than DILDs. However after many attempts I realized that the success of the WILD depends more on your mind than on your body.
In fact you are allowed to move, you even move naturally when you sleep normally. So that would actually be more natural than laying still like a corpse.
And I also noticed that when I focused on my body for so long, it was better to just drop the idea of sleep paralysis because I actually relaxed more by then.
Just think about how tense you are when you get stressed or nervous, you will be slightly more tensed up when you try to not move at all and think about that, compared to just relaxing and not having a bother in the world at all. So that is another reason to why the sleep paralysis focus is a bit contra-productive.
And now a reason to why sleep paralysis is not only contra-productive but actually not necessary fto fall asleep consciously at all!
As I said you move naturally every night, but there is of course something in the body that paralyses your physical body when you dream in order to prevent you form acting out your dreams in physical reality. But this paralysation happens when you are already in the dream! So when you feel your body paralyse you are more likely to already be in the dream than to be awake, and if the body isn't paralysed it's is more likely that you just felt some sensation of your body's own relaxing sensation rather than a paralysation. But if you do wake up and are unable to move and are in your physical bedroom and then make sure that you were awake, and the paralysation is there for a long time, then you have a sleep disorder called sleep paralysis (Yeah it's called the same thing, which is a big cause of confusion of the terms.) X _ o
So what do you do instead you might think? Well instead of looking if you are awake to make sure that you lay still, look for sensations of the dream to make sure that you can get out of bed! The sensations of the body's own relaxation is the same sensations that you feel right before you can enter a dream, but the transition sensations are much more intense. But I am not saying that you have to look for intense sensations, because sometimes you can transition on the mild ones as well.
So perhaps there are no sensations at all to look for, but there are sensations that you can create!
So what you should do is to relax as much as you can while keeping awareness. And then every now and then test to see if you can transition or are in the dream by using visualisation or if you are in a dream it's dream control. You do that by using one of your five senses and make it a strong sensation and if you can experience it strongly, you can see that as your sign to just get out of the bed, because it is a dreambed and you are in your dreamroom!
Sight - Imagine seeing a scenario like standing in your kitchen, or anywhere you want and you are either teleported there or just see if really vividly.
Hearing - Imagine hearing a sound a beep, a song anything you like and when you can literally hear it you can get out of bed.
Touch - Imagine doing something familiar like holding your phone or typing on a keyboard and when you feel it you can get up.
Smell - (A little more advanced) - Imagine smelling something familiar like a flower or a perfume or anything, and when you can smell it you can get up.
Taste - Imagine tasting something you can easily imagine, and when you can taste it you can get up.
You can of course combine all of these like for example seeing yourself holding a fork, and you feel it in your hand as you take a bite of some macarony and then scrath the fork against the plate and hear the sound, and smell the food at the same time. Perhaps a bad example but you'll understand my pont. :)
So instead of inducing test and use this as a movement free reality check to see if you are dreaming, because the induction will happen naturally if you just relax and trust your body.
There are other ways to enter a dream consciously that literally makes the relaxation process feel like 1 second and you can start testing and expect a result immediatelly and that method is called DEILD.
This become a pretty long post, but I hope it helps you. :)

I am glad that it helped you. ;) Make sure to always ask whenever you need help, but never believe what I say to be true, only your own
experience can form your own knowledge.
My intention is just to inspire and hopefully that is enough motivation to hmm.. :idea2: make you achieve your desire.
Happy WILDing. :sleepmeditate2:
