Eye twitching, heartbeat raising

Today I tried another WILD. I think I am doing something completely wrong, because just like last time, when I got really close to falling into a dream state
(well I guess I was because I have never experienced an LD conciously) My heartbeat went up high and my eyes starting moving extremely fast. I couldn't stop it, except in ways that disturb the transition, like focussing on the HI a lot or moving around. I have no idea what causes this and I have no idea how to solve it.
So I am asking you:
-How does this happen?
-How is it solved?
-What are things I could be doing wrong? (am I just trying too hard?)
-What are ways to get it fixed, and what do you recommend for a new LD'er?

First, you should try again. Good chance, your eyes wont twich again. Sometimes I do get elevated hearbeat and breathing. I think that's normal. If you look at a sleeping dog or a cat, you can tell when they dreaming because their eyes move and they breathe faster. So maybe it has something to do with being close to the dream and you noticing it and getting excited about it.

Do you wear a sleep mask? That may help with eyes. Other than that, I would say try again, try to ignore it, it may stop by itself.
