Black around and Impossibility to go!

Hi there,
Most of my lucid dreams start from my bed (after wild). Normally I begin to feel vibrations, my legs and my harms move alone, noises and so on..... Then I'm in my bed. I know I'm dreaming and I get off bed. The problem is that often I'm in the dark and I'm not able to light the dream. Last night instead a worse thing happened: Started in the bed, vibration and so on....I'm not able to get off bed. I try to move but its like if a magnet is keeping me. I feel that the dream is fading and I don't move, eyes closed. I do like a DEILD and re-enter in the dream, again in the bed. This happened 10-15 times until I woke up giving up. What I liked of all this is the fact that I was able to stay steady and try deilds, but in fact I wasn't able to build my lucid dreaming.

Any suggestion for : 1) The dark problem 2) The impossibility of starting the dream.

PP: After a couple of hours I hade a pretty nice lucid dreaming with sun :)

The problem with the dark seems to be pretty common.. It happened to me once before, too. Though I'm not sure if that LD was a WILD or not, I think that with a bit more practice in dream control, it should be no problem.

I used to have this happen to me constantly when I first started trying to WILD. It was a huge problem for me. There are a lot of techniques you can use to improve the light quality in your dream, but I've noticed if I have the "stickiness" or inability to move, they generally will not work. I'm going to guess that you feel like you're moving through tar, right?

When are you attempting to WILD? What you described tends to happen to me if I try to do it too early into my sleep cycle, because there's no dream for me to enter and my brain doesn't seem to want to form one yet. It's very resistant to the idea, anyway. Try to WILD later in the night or in very early morning. That's what solved the issue for me.

Sometimes I'll accidentally go lucid before there's a dream for me to enter. I feel like I can't move and I'm pushing against a black wall, or I will sit up out of my body and be completely blind and unable to move freely. The only thing that has solved this for me is patience - settle down, sit back, and wait. You'll probably lose lucidity for a while but eventually, if you are very patient, a dream WILL form. It will just feel like it takes forever. Often, the dream beginning to form will jolt me back into lucidity. Then I can cause the imagery to coalesce or walk into it - use whatever method works best for you.

Here are a few more things to try for the light issue:
1. Try to open your eyes
2. Try to force your eyes open with your fingers
3. Try to turn on a light
4. Try to yell "increase brightness"

I try wild after 4-5 hours of sleep. If I do it later easily I'm not able to fall back to sleep.
