IF we as a community (DV being the main lucid dreaming community on the internet), want to be taken seriously, then we must clean house. The SP sticky was a good first step, but no one reads stickies. Usually people just automatically go to the active thread with the highest view count. You know this to be true. So you need to delete those toxic threads, or at least reset the view counts and post counts.
Is this a drastic step? Yes. Is it somewhat unethical? Maybe, depending on your point of view. I would say it's unethical to mislead people with incorrect information. BUT, it's also necessary to take this community to the next level of public awareness. Unless you want to continue to be known as "those weirdos who are obsessed with daydreaming" to most people.
