I never was able to stay awake enough to have a lucid dream, BUT I could always stay awake long enough to see the 'flashing images' and colors. I have changed my sleep schedule (Was Sleep at 10:30-45 and wake up 6:30, Now is sleep at 11:30-12:00 and wake up at 6:40). And ever since, I've never been able to stay conscious long enough or remember most of my dreams. Could this be my problem? As always; any help is appreciated.

When do you attempt a WILD, after how many hours of sleep, how long is your WBTB and if you using mantras is more important, than your bed time and waking time.

Here's how it used to go:
*Once I decided to go to bed*> focus on my breathing>*once I feel relaxed* focus on my 'view'> after a few minutes, I usually few SP coming on, but I'd never successfully enter it>fall asleep, usually remembering most of my dreams
Now:
*Once I decided to go to bed*> focus on my breathing> *once I am relaxed* I focus on my view> fall asleep, with no memory of my dreams, unless they were long.
Change in sleeping schedule could be the problem, i once changed mine and had long dry spell until i changed it back, but might be not as well, really depends on many factors, other than that you might try changing the amount of time you stay awake for before the attempt as well as amount of activity, maybe you are just not getting awake enough? :-?
Also don't focus on entering SP unless you have sleep disorder with same name, you wont be able to, you just need to fall asleep while being aware, check out the tutorial gab posted if you aren't already. :zzz:

Sounds like you are trying this at night before going to bed the first time. This is nearly impossible and a waste of time if you ask me. I can give myself sounds and images at any time of day or night but going to sleep and having a dream is very hard.
It's more effective to go to sleep normally and then wake up an hour early for a few minutes. Then when you go to sleep you will have an easier time.
As bluremi says, WILDing before bed is futile. Do WBTB and it just may solve your problem.
