Keeping it real in SP?
Hello there, while I haven't introduced myself yet, I will do it on another day... :) For now I have a question (probably reason why I registered)
I have been starting to get interested in lucid dreams; some years ago I actually got a DILD, but that was about it. Maybe I didn't take it seriously enough by then, so nothing else happened. For some weeks by now I've been getting into the WILD scene and I have even started to feel some good ol' vibrations. Problem being, I'm a super fraidy cat, thank the Internet for its anonymity, so I'm a bit of a child, which never grew up in some things. When I got the closest to it once, I just had to stop it there quickly. Everytime I try to WILD, I nearly get, if any (most of the times none) hypnagogic imagery. With nothing to think about, it's just like an hourglass getting always nearer to SP. I don't have that much fear; what I fear is my fear (^^) and my mind's capability to probably think of something so TRULY amazingly frightening if I were to get to SP. The method for stopping SP is staying calm. How can I make sure I stay calm and don't panic immediately at hearing a voice or something? Aside from that, even better, could there be any particular reason for me not getting hypnagogic imagery and if yes, is there something I can do about it? It's probably my mind being uncreative, so I don't know how that can be helped, though...
Thanks in advance!

It's common misconception, SP is not related to WILD process in any way unless you have sleep disorder with some name, which i guess you don't have, otherwise it only has chance to happen once or twice through whole lifetime whether one is into lucid dreaming or not, if it ever happens, so you really don't need to worry about that. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...explained.html
To WILD you just need to fall asleep while being aware, check out this tutorial for more info on the whole process: WILD :)
Good luck!
