30 minutes is pretty long to fall asleep, sounds like you were not sleepy enough or were not in REM. Though if positions were comfortable it indeed sounds like you were feeling falling asleep sensations, you could try not to stop next time. Still, you could also experiment with WBTB time, amount of activity before it and how you fall asleep to find a good state to fall asleep quickly(30 min is pretty long as far as i know), while still being able to keep awareness. :zzz:
