DEILD Issue
After several years, i'm trying to get back into LD, but having a bit of a problem. My recall is increasing, but is still not quite where it should be. I've started practicing DEILD (never used this method before); however, on nights where I attempt DEILD I have no recall. This is due to the fact that I can't get up and journal the dreams. Also, my preoccupation with recording the dreams is holding me back from relaxing enough to DEILD. So, it's a bit of an issue. I'm thinking that I need to work on recall for a bit more before attempting DEILD, but I would like some other opinions. Thanks!

How about this.
When you wake up and time feels right for a DEILD, don't worry about recording your dream. Go balls to the wall after DEILD. If it will work, you will know in a few seconds. If it doesn't work and you still feeling it, go for a WILD. You will either get it or not. If not, you either fall asleep, or you get up and record your dream, if you still remember it. If not, don't be too hard on yourself. The dilema - recall or DEILD can drive a man nuts.
And the next day, you just get up and DJ, unless the conditions are perfect for another try.
You can make every odd day DJ day, and even day DEILD day. Just allow yourself to be flexible to change that when conditions call for it.
DJing is a great way to get your recall up. But If you think about your dreams a lot, appreciate them and you tell yourself that, it will compensate for those days without DJing. And you can still DJ in the morning, no matter which night it was. Good luck:alien:
Btw, here is a good DEILD.

Excellent suggestion. I think that by dedicating certain days to DEILD and certain days to journaling I can avoid the conflict that I've been having.
