am i getting anywhere ?
for the past week or so ( i know that isn't very long ) ive been trying to do a WILD and I've been doing preparations for a MILD, when i started attempting a WILD i couldn't really last that long with out moving or doing something and i couldn't get in the right mindset, but just now when i was trying it i started feeling this wave come over me like i was passing over but oddly enough even though i was telling my self in my mind that this was good it felt like i was fighting it and then my cat black jesus hopped on me and kinda screwed it up....anyways im just trying to ask is that what it feels like when you do a WILD ? im just wondering if i am making and steps forward.. thanks

Sounds like you are getting somewhere indeed, to be exact i think you are reaching hypnagogic state, which is good. Sensations during WILD vary from person to person, for me transition to dream state can vary, often i have almost to none sensations but today i had transition like somebody was trying to wake me up, haha.
Check out this thread for more information on possible transitions: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...ntry-wild.html :)

For myself a WILD using imagery is a seamless transition; excepting the obvious "dream body" feeling. For "disassociation" (not sure yet what term you guys like to use here for this) it is very different. I get that "wave" sensation you describe, for myself it feels like pressure or pulling. Then I mentally will myself out of my body from a distance in third person view. Then comes the vibrations and static noise; finally my feet usually are the first to float. The key is knowing when to get involved, if at all. At the edge of sleep is where you want to be. Over the years I have developed this method of "thinking of nothing" as I fall asleep to perform this, otherwise I will start having a normal WILD with imagery, as my HI are very strong. Of course when I say "nothing" I mean emptying your mind by focusing on the concept of nothing.
One thing I would add is that in the second method, if you time it correctly I find that even being interested in the process will not interfere with it as it does with imagery WILDs.

alright thanks, i was trying to do imagery of what i wanted my dream world to look like, i felt like it was helping but it was hard to focus on it visually

i think i am getting even closer i just had an afternoon nap trying to have a WILD and after a while i started getting the waves and i felt the pulling sensation that Meskhetyw felt, it felt as if my mind was being pulled forward

Try not to fight it.
Concerning you moving too much and just let things go and it will probably help if you concentrate on one thing that will occupy your mind.
It is good if you dont feel any stress or discomfort.
:?
Sorry i have not had any success with wild yet so nothing to contribute.

yeah not moving is pretty easy as long as i just focus on nothing
