WILD after nap?
Ok, if I take a nap in the afternoon, and when I wake up I almost instantly induce sleep paralysis, will I be able to merge into a dream anytime sleep paralysis is induced? I am wondering because I have induced sleep paralysis quite often here recently, but I never take it all the way into a conscious dream.

I don't think you mean sleep paralysis, as in you are paralyzed, not being able to move no matter what. Right?
Whatewer sensations you have are normal signs of falling asleep, or being relaxed after waking up.

Nap is a great time to WILD. You don't have to wait to wake up from a nap, you WILD as you start your nap. When you wake up from a dream, you can try a DEILD.

I see what your saying, but I do mean sleep paralysis with the hallucinations and all. I know the feeling once I enter sleep paralysis because I always have the audio hallucinations and intense vibrations throughout my body. I was just wondering if you can always go straight into a dream from sleep paralysis anytime that it is induced because every time I induce it I am unsure if my next REM cycle is near. I just don't want to sit through the paralysis if I am not going to be able to induce a lucid dream. Sorry if I am not being clear. I am trying to get all my information right, it's just WILDingncan be a pretty confusing matter haha.

What I was trying to say, that all those sensations you are describing are not SP. In fact, non of them are. You will not have SP when WILDing.
The sensations you may/may not have when falling asleep and WILDing, are best just observed passively. They are not an indication of REM being close, they simply indicate, that you are falling asleep. If you experience them after some hours of sleep, then you know your REM is not far away. But not because of the sensations. It's because the longer you sleep, longer your REM gets and NREM shorter.
Here is something about http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...ntry-wild.html It's not a complete WILD guide. For that please read this I'm linking again http://www.dreamviews.com/wild/

Oh I see now. Sorry I just read the articles you posted with your last reply. I get it now lol. So that REM whatever it's called that is confused with sleep paralysis should not be feared should it?
Never mind haha. You are so helpful thanks :). You have cleared a lot of things up for me

REM is just a sleep stage in which we do most of the dreaming.
SP is when you paralyzed and it's a disorder. Not associated with lucid dreaming.
Sensations and hallucinations experienced as falling asleep - could be tactile, auditory or visual. You may not get any of them, or different ones each time. They could react to your thoughts. If you have pleasant thoughts and your mind is filled with some nice place, or some fantasy of yours, than you will most likely have nice experience.
I have had over 200 WILD attempts and not a single one was scary. I fill my mind with something I want to do in a lucid, like be on the bridge of Starship Voyager, or on the beach in Bora Bora. Happy dreams:alien:
And no, they should not be feared. I have had some really intense sensations, but it's like being on a super roller-coaster or something like that. I enjoy them great deal.
