Perfect time to WILD, as long as you are the type who can sleep in.
Definitely possible as long as you can fall asleep, using WBTB, and if it times well with your REM, even better. :)
I've had a wild an hour after I woke up in the morning before so it is possible.
If you still want to do a legitimate WBTB, drink about 22-28 fl. oz of water before bed. You will wake up at the end of a sleep cycle to use the restroom. I do this as to not wake my roomate, but still WBTB.
best time to do it
Morning is the ideal time to WILD. Try three to five hours within falling sleep, I have had the best luck personally doing it in this timeframe.
It's the best time for me, I actually managed two this morning.
I've been trying to WILD pretty much since I joined this site, nearly every night for the last couple of years I've been getting up at 4/5/6am but always fall asleep, zero success. But mornings when I can lay in I can pretty much chain lucids from the get go. I suspect it's because the mind is slightly more aware than at 4am.
Yes, in fact it is an ideal time to WILD for a lot of people. ;)
Also, since your mind will obviously be focused on lucid dreaming you will probably practice MILD at the same time, which gives you a second chance if the WILD is unsuccessful.
