Please help!!!!
Ok so I have been trying to wild, my main goal is actually to reach SP so I can either try to wild or have a obe. I have tried at every time of the day, I've tried wbtb, tried being tired or wide awake. I basically start off with a muscle relaxation technique, when my body is relaxed (at least I think and feel pretty relaxed) I focus on my breathing, I don't hold on to thoughts I let them come and go. I could stay like this for an hour and I just get fed up that nothing is happening! Plz plz give me some advice I've read everything out there I feel like I'm doing what I need to do but nothing is working! I also know that you don't need to sp In order to wild I get that but my goal right now is sp as I think it makes things easier. The most ill get is very mild body buzzing and heavy body I never see any images or anything like that. Any advice will be appreciated thank you.

You might be getting too excited. If your heart beat goes up and its beating fast, most likely your body will still probably think you are awake. Also just keep trying, i've been on here for a year and i havent done one yet. (i havent tried doing it after waking up at 2 am which i probably should)

Hello, first, please read this thread and think about what is said by the various experienced members who helped write it. That is where you should start. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...explained.html
Two items I will mention.
1) we have had quite the debate about SP lately. Many, many of us feel that if you do not experience SP as a natural condition prior to this, then you will likely never be able to induce it. As in, thinking about SP is a waste of time for most people. If SP has been a natural problem for someone, THEN they may be able to induce it and somehow use it for LDs. If they do not naturally experience it, it will likely NEVER be induced. In fact many people screw up perfectly good starts at WILD by trying to move, just to see if they are in SP. They simply wake themselves.
2) On the actual topic of inducing WILDs. Many beginners do not realize that you must fall asleep. You are trying to stay aware AND fall asleep. You are not trying to hold real still and wait for something to happen. You should fall asleep. A good attempt that fails should be because you fell asleep and failed to maintain awareness. A misdirected attempt that fails involves getting bored or uncomfortable and laying still for 30 minutes or an hour. You must fall asleep. Fail a dozen times by falling asleep and not maintaining awareness. Don't waste any more time just laying still.
I hope those ideas help. I am not sure where so many beginners are getting ideas about SP. As you have at this moment 7 posts, perhaps you can help me? What did you read or who did you listen to that even suggested you should attempt to induce SP? I am asking in friendly honesty, as I would like to get a picture of how the idea is getting in everyone's head so quickly. Thanks.

First off thank you so much for the detailed reply I really appreciate it. I guess I kind of made up my own idea of SP. I figured its in that state which causes vibrations and hypo imagery. Also reading other posts on this site possibly lead to that conclusion. But yours make a lot of sense to, so fall asleep while maintaining awarness? Ill try that tonight.

Also to add, start dream journal and do awareness practice too during the day as well as DILD techniques, that can greatly increase your chances with WILD and if you get lucid with DILD before WILD it can make WILD attempts simpler because you will know how being lucid feels, and practicing dream recall is also important. Check out this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/dild/13212...ods-dilds.html :)
