Can't seem to get past the initial stages?

When attempting to WILD, I can normally get to the part where I start feeling sensations throughout my body. After a 30 minute WBTB, I will go back to bed, and lay there completely still saying my mantra. After my body is relaxed and I feel like I am "ready", I will start counting or doing some other technique to take my mind off of my physical body. When I take my mind off of my physical body like this, I start feeling the vibrations, plus it feels like a heavy blanket is put on my body. Soon after I start feeling these sensations, they go away, and I am back to stage one.

Could it be that I am not "ready" to start the WILD yet? Or is it simply because I am not entering an REM cycle? How can I get past this stage in my WILD? :panic:

1. I would suggest to read, or re-read this very detailed tutorial WILD

3. You don't always get same sensations. So i would suggest you don't expect anything specific to happen.

4. If you WILD after at least 4.5 hrs of sleep, then you should not have to wait too long for your next REM. The longer we sleep, closer is the REM to the time when we fall asleep. And when we WILD, the light sleep, or "falling asleep" stage that comes before REM should be very short. We often don't even notice this stage, because it's similar to "being awake". And the transition from it to a LD can be so smooth, that we don't even notice. We are 100% sure that we are still awake, when in fact, we are already dreaming.

If you read the article in paragraph 2 above, you will learn, that you need "leap of faith". You need to believe, that even if you sure you are awake, you could already be dreaming.

Haha, it sure looks like it, doesn't it, because of huge amount of info sageous provides.

I would start by reading "sticky" threads named "session". And then you can post your question in "post your attempts..." thread, where sageous will give you advise. :alien:

The whole thing is actually one very detailed tutorial. The first part to the tutorial is the stickied post called "WILD session one," or something of the sort.
