You can use any position, as long as you can reach sleep. I find poses such as this do help maintain awareness, but increase how long it takes to fall asleep. I am much more likely to get lucid if I WILD on my back and can sleep, but often I have trouble getting there. If you have an hours to spend using relaxation tricks, it is a good method. If you want to try a WILD in your normal pattern of sleep, then what ever your normal sleep position is helps limit the amount of interruption to a nights sleep.
