my DEILD (CANWILD) progress

Hey! I'm going to be posting my progression with CANWILD here. To me this is a really exciting LD induction method. It takes so little time to successfully set up and try out, but makes it easy to have an LD for beginners (or at least - that's what we will find out!) I'll post the experiences I have with this method here so anyone interested can check it out and maybe learn something. I'll be trying this twice a night.

January 5 2015
alarm set up fairly successfully but way too close to my bed; both times when it rang I was literally jolted up and I think it broke the sleep paralysis - so no success tonight but good to play with the options and hopefully have a better chance tonight. Did experience one FAwhen I heard a different alarm ringing really loudly near the printer in the corner of my room. If I had done a reality check I could have become lucid - so I should always RC if I hear a different/weird alarm. An interesting thing to note is that in the FA is I didn't have the same awareness that I've experienced after waking up from the alarm sound normally, I'm normally pretty awake and can concentrate and think as if I was awake; but during the FA I couldn't concentrate at all - this should have tipped me off. My first attempt was a failure because I didn't wake up during REM sleep. Second attempt failed because I swallowed and then shuffled around too much.

CANWILD (CrazyInsane WILD method) is one of the best LD techniques for beginners. i am sure by this method, you will have lots of LDs...
I do this technique when i am very thirsty of LD and it works most of the time!

my alarm messed up tonight. First time it rang it was really quiet so I thought it was broken and got out of bed to fix it, then it decided to auto-snooze 10 minutes later when I was about to fall asleep. This meant that I walked around and stuff so I was still awake ~45 minutes later when my second attempt's alarm went off. Not counting these as attempts because they were due to the alarm messing up, and therefore not a fair representation of the technique.

my first alarm messed up somehow again. I've sorted it out now so it should be fine *fingers crossed*. Second alarm, I did try to canWILD but I ended up swallowing (again! This is reaaaallly killing me) and then shifted about a bit because I gave up due to swallowing. I reckon that tonight, even if I swallow I'll stick with it and still try to DEILD anyway for the experience. I may also give it 3 attempts a night from now for a few days while I can before exams.

both attempts tonight I was in a weird position and therefore for some reason my sleepy brain thought I should just abandon the attempts and turn over after a while, which is seriously dumb because I wasn't going to end up swallowing in that position. New plan: move as little as possible, even if I do move a bit, forget it, try to maintain awareness and go for WILD.
