Would staying up really late and attempting a WILD without having slept first have the same effect as waking yourself up after a few hours sleep?
Do people have experiences of these types of lucid dreams?
Thanks ;)

we sleep not because the time of the day is important (cheating the hours as you said) but we want to allow our brain to rest (by spending long durations of delta brain wave) and to make our brain to show theta brain wave which is suitable for WILD and other LD methods. this type of brain wave appears with maximum length after hours of sleep so WILD is easier and chances to hit theta state is more than any time.
i am type of a person who is awake at night and i sleep during the day. so even me should sleep for hours to be able to WILD.
naps during the day are an exception however.
