It's been a so long time wrting a thread in this website.
Anyway, my question is, before you sleep (just a normal sleep at night), when REM-sleep time is not yet come, is it possible to WILD?
I saw lots of tutorials saying that I need to time my WILD at REM-sleep.
I was just wondering...
In reality, you can WILD at any time. Doesn't matter after several hours of sleep, a nap or at your regular sleep time, you can WILD anytime.
The reason why people not to WILD right at your sleep time is because the difficulty is really hard. REM sleep is heaven for lucid dreamers, because the dreams that happen there are the actual ones that you often recall. When you lucid dream there, quality will be at its best and the time the dream will last is good. Non-REM sleep does have dreams, but (I don't think?) you can have a lucid dream there and the dream really only lasts for a couple of seconds. It may even only be ideas or feelings. When you WILD at your normal sleep time, it takes a long time for your brain to enter REM sleep, because throughout the day it forgot how to get into REM quickly, so it takes about 1 and one half to enter REM, or a lucid dream, when WILDing at that time. They say to WILD with prior sleep because your brain can now quickly enter REM sleep after having experienced doing it with the sleep time you have given it, meaning you'll be able to WILD much easier. This works the same way with naps, but the longer you wait after waking up the harder it'll be. It won't take very quick to reach that point though, even if you wait 6 hours after waking up it may still be easy. So essentially, yes you can WILD at your normal sleeping time, but the wait time before you actually enter the dream will be immense and you'll often fail before you do.

TL;DR: Yes, you can WILD at sleep time but you'll have to wait a very long time. Easier to do it after some sleep.
