      Strange experiences after WILD attempts

Every time I try WILDing I end up unsuccessful after my eyes are forced open during HI or someone in my house making a noise that sort of wakes me up. When that happens, I notice that my hands look strange, kind of like they're really long, slender, and wavy. But I do various RCs that all tell me that I'm not dreaming. One time I actually felt earthquake tremors even after I stopped trying to WILD because I panicked when I felt myself fall through the air during hypnagogia and curled up on my side to sleep. Even then the RCs all said that I wasn't dreaming. Does anyone know why this is?

Do they look odd right now? If not, it's possible that you're entering very stable/realistic dreams. As to why you're subconscious is creating this type of environment, I don't have an answer for you. Out of curiousity, what do you do when you after you've determined that the dream is reality? Do you just go about your day and then just wake up later on?

Hmm maybe next time I should try walking around...except I'm scared of the dark. I just curl up and go to sleep because WBTB is extremely difficult for me since waking up in general is very hard for me so I try this right before I'm about to sleep for the night and do a bit of relaxation meditation beforehand.

Your eyes or ear drums don't control whether you experience hypnagogia or dreaming, only your brain does. Because of this, it's possible to see or hear something from waking life while still experiencing hypnagogia or a dream.

Don't quit your WILD attempts just because your eyes open or you hear a noise from your house. Just maintain focus on your dream until it's complete.

Out of curiosity how many times have you tried WILD because you seem really close. I've tried only 2 times, but got didn't get too far.

WBTB is recommended for a reason. I can pull off about 1 in 3 WILD attempts with WBTB, and only about 1 in 10 at bed time. I often can get fun hypnogogic stuff going, but fall short of actual vivid lucids when trying at bedtime.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

I've only tried it 3 seperate times, and this one other time where I was interrupted a couple times during a nap but each time I could bring these sensations back within minutes. The hypnagogic imagery/sensations come very quickly to me.
