You know, while I was suffering from insomnia last week, I did have a bunch of almost-wilds. I couldn't settle into them though. I would just start to see the dream world, and then wake up out of it. Also, one time, it was weird... I got stuck in the vibration stage. It just was like a low vibration for several minutes, but never went toward a dream. Eventually I woke up from that, too.
Exactly, I always get stuck in the vibrations too.
I have had lifelong problems with insomnia. I have started to "Breath like I am asleep" until it becomes involuntary. Just deep slow breaths with short pauses on the exhale. I get to sleep so much faster and it makes it easier to initiate WILD
