A question regarding the “pulled in sensation”

Hi all

I’ve been practicing WILD for a little while now and had what I believe to be my first successful Wild this morning,

The reason why i say “I believe “is because there was no sensation of being sucked or pulled into the dream, it appeared in front of me/around me and I was there. I saw the images that preceded it and then saw it go from dark to image as if someone had turned up a dimmer switch

I have read that the physical sensations that can occur during WILDS differ for each person I’m wondering if it’s the same with this “sucked in/ pulled in” sensation.

-I have never experienced sleep paralysis,

- Only once experienced the body vibration/ distortion sensation.

- the only consistent sensation I experience is the body feeling heavy or light as I relax it before observing HI

I know the sensations are not the goal the lucids are. I’m just trying to work out if I did successfully WILD

I was aware through out the transition from awake to sleep which in my book counts as a WILD.

My life is busy but when time allows I will post my attempts and the results, when I have read others attempt logs I find it inspiring and helpful. I think will help me with maintaining Motivation for WILDS.

People have many different sensations. Did you know that you were dreaming? Note that sometimes when you have hypnagogia or hypnagogic hallucinations when you are sleep deprived.

Congrats, that sounds awesome. Sounds like a WILD to me; there is no set sequence of hypnogogia or sensations you have to go through.

Yes was definitely aware I watched the preceding HI come and go before that dream scene appeared.
The sleep deprivation could well be possible as I have an 11month old son who wake us 2-4 times a night.

Coincidentally it was he that woke me at 4am this morning, I had slept for 6.5 hrs by this point so I thought “yeah lets have another bash at wild”

I’ve noticed sometimes the moment I get into bed and get comfortable I’m talking less than a few minutes I’m already seeing HI if anything it may be those times I’m sleep deprived.

I now need to find away of stabilising the dream the first one wasn’t much longer than a few minutes

When the second dream scene appeared I rubbed the walls and floors right away but it still collapsed however it’s lasted a few moments longer. In this second scene I did pull the dc out of his very fancy car a drive off with it then Tried to recall my dream goals before it all faded.
Do you think it’s possible I was booted out of the dream for poor behaviour?

I have read WILDS can be quite unstable where as in DILDs dreams tend to be stable but lucidity not so.

Both of these dreams were the most vivid I have ever experienced the beauty of it bought a few tears to my eyes lol.

Have either of you two had the issue of the dream collapsing after a few minutes when wilding? If so what was your solution?

My experience is that WILDs are usually more stable once they are fully formed. However, while they are forming, it takes a delicate mental touch to enter the dream and solidify the dream. You don't want to rush in and start flying right after the dream coalesces around you, for example. You want to interact gently with it until the visuals are bright and vivid, and it feels solid. Check your emotions, are you feeling very excited or fearful or something else? That can definitely collapse a dream. I would start the dream off by gently touching things, and calling out: "Increase clarity" or "Increase dream stability".

Galantamine WILDs can definitely be shorter, sometimes that results in a bunch of mini-lucid dreams.

My experience is that during WILDs or DEILDs, short dreams can often result in another dream forming seconds after the first dream ends, if you hold very still with eyes closed.

I think it has nothing to do with poor behavior, unless that behavior is making you have emotions that can collapse your dream. (As an aside, I have been booted out of portions of the dream world before, when attempting to visit a dream-sharing-group member's dream who wasn't in the mood for visitors that evening. But I stayed lucid. I was not booted out of the entire dream, just her house.)

On both occasions I feel I was calm the first dream scene was very pleasent. May be I need to hold off a second or two before interacting with dcs or dream scene

Never used galantamine not sure if we can buy it off the shelf here in the UK. Have heard of some interesting and vivid accounts of people who have used it and got lucid.

Interesting side note, I love dreams especially that unknown side to them, that side we are not in control of. Once I’m more adept and have completed a few of my personal dream goal I want to experiment with this “uncontrollable” side to see how far influence has an effect.
