I made a thread earlier about how you can get a sleepy body and a clear mind but I personally donīt know this:
Exacly how tired should you be when you want to WILD? Just a little tired or as tired as you were when you went to bed?

As far as I know, it depends on the person and their willpower, patience, etc. If you're doing it in the middle of the night (the only way I've tried it) you're supposed to wake up and stay awake for 30-90 minutes, depending on the person. Now, I stayed up for 30 minutes during both attempts and I ended up falling asleep before I could reach Sleep Paralysis. I'm going to try 45 minutes the next time.
I once stayed awake for 4 hours and still got a WILD (woke up at 4 am, went back to sleep at 8 am). I was used to being at school at that time, so I guess my mind didn't want me to go to sleep, but my body was tired so it shut itself down. It's strange how these things go.
That's a bit different, I think. What he's talking about is a WILD in the middle of the night. Yours fits under the nap category. There's not much difference, but the techniques aren't quite the same.
