Does it get easier to wild after the first few times?
yes:D
Depends. It did not for me. I don't think anyone can answer this but yourself. Keep trying and see what happens.
Hey thanks you to I randomly woke up in the night so I'm going to try to wild I have never done this before we'll see how it goes
UPDATE: I fell asleep while reading stuff on dream views :(
I really don't know. Ive only had 2 LDs and both were WILDs. but I have been trying to wild tha past few days and cant seem to have one... but i probabaly just need more practice, so do you.
Thanks I'm trying again tonight
Usually anything gets easier the more you do it and the more you practice. Above all, keep positive beliefs about LDs. Don't even doubt yourself a little.
Thanks deery I'm never gunna quit trying to wild.. I have tried a lot but I know I can do it
Well, like Shift says, there is no straight answer. Although it may or may not be easier to reach the WILD state, it will at the very least become easier if you do it alot in the sense that you will discover what methods work and don't work for you. So you will know what to try for your WILDs. (Ex. lying on your back vs. your side, counting in your head vs. playing tic-tac-toe in your head, etc.) Trial and error, baby. Trial and error...
You should write down exactly how you WILD since there are so many ways. It would be easier to understand if you're doing something wrong then.
But from reading this and your other topic I sense that you goto stay more awake before trying. How can you fall asleep while reading stuff on DV? Did you sit with your laptop in your bed or something? Wake up, drink some water, take a piss. Take a 5 minute walk outside, do RC:s and think about DC:ing. Then go surf DV. Then go back and try WILD.
I suggest checking out the videos from LucidDreamTricks on YouTube.
...and do you do RC:s etc.?
LOL I pissed, drank water and read dv on my iPod touch in my bed, this thread also I fell asleep while I was scrolling up to read something else
:bravo:
If you WILD and fall asleep while also having RC:s and autosuggestion in mind, you're more likely to gain lucidity if you happen to fall asleep, rather then just focusing on entering the dream without losing awarness during transition (especially when you, like inhuman, never experienced an LD, had no success with WILD and just fall asleep). It's about raising your odds and not just deciding that one technique is the right one, especially when you don't even have any other technique to compare to.
Is this what you mean when you fall asleep? You sit and read DV on your little iPod in bed? That's not gonna work! No wonder you fall asleep if you're up to drink and piss for 2 minutes then go back to bed. You goto stay up for much longer then that! Use a stationary computer and sit upright. You have to activate your body and mind for a while, get some stimulus, some sunlight perhaps. That's a big part of it. Unless you do some serious DEILD but that's obviously too far ahead for you.
I wasn't thinking that night :) your post seemed kind of yelly but thanks :)
These are just tips that have worked for me, nothing negative about it. Since you've tried WILD unsuccessfully for around 50 hours, but possibly seem to have skipped a key-element, you goto change your ways. It's very essential that you stay up for around 30-60 minutes when using WILD, which is mentioned in alot of guides (that I take it you've read). Not everyone needs to, but probably most people do.
Another tip is to not try WILD too often (two days in a row). You'll most likely end up exausted every second night and just fall asleep or give up after a while. A misstake even I make sometimes.

I don't really think that's true. I try every time I got to sleep, and every time I wake up, and I'm not exhausted at all. Maybe you'll be tired if you don't get enough sleep as you waste that time on WILDing, but if you're able to get more than 8 hours of sleep, I don't see why it would be a problem.
Hmm I never got down which time was best to stay up for iv read 5-60 min I'll try an hour next time I use an alarm
Hi Inhuman. I couldn't help but noticing your signature. Under "50 hours no WILD" you write Non lucid: 17 - I can see the humorous touch in that - also I like a bit of not taking yourself to seriously - but maybe in your situation you should take into consideration, that it is your subconsciousnes you have to "impress" to get lucid dreams. What you're telling yourself by writing that stuff, is basically: Hey mr. subconsciousnes I'm no good at Lucid Dreaming, I'm going to fail everytime I try. Instead you could write: "I know I'm going to get LDs - its easy!" Do you get my idea?
It's common knowledge that if you interrupt your sleep the quality of your sleep will be reduced. This might not apply to everyone and might vary from person to person, but considering that inhuman falls asleep during his WILD-attempts it could contribute to the failure.
