Thumbs down It's been a while ....2 years to be exact.

      Umm ..hi everyone, lol.

Back in 07 ...lucid dreaming was always on my mind ...the thought of doing anything I wanted was awesome ...well anyways I guess I was a mediocre dreamer cuz I could never do it at will, they always came through DILD (When I wasn't expecting a lucid dream, that's when I would get 1).

Slowly but surely my interest in lucid dreaming died down ...so I stopped doing reality checks and all that stuff ...and then all of a sudden the other day ...I was at a picnic with my friend ...and I looked to the sky to see an airplane ...it wasn't too far away ...close enough for me to see the lines on the side and what not ...and then I juss thought to myself, "How cool would it be if I could just fly up, and touch the plane?". So BOOM, here I am, back on these forums, lmao.

Needless to say, I got lots of work to do ...and I need some tips ...or guidance. Last night I decided to try to WBTB and WILD ...I knew I wasn't gonna achieve anything because of how long it's been, but screw it, maybe I could work out some kinks. So I woke around 6 hours later ...(I think my phone rang) and I was SO sleepy that I knew if I closed my eyes, I would fall back out in 5 seconds. So I stayed still, and kept my mind awake by counting, 2 minutes later I saw bright flashes of purple ...or what I thought was purple lol and then I felt something physical. It's very hard to explain and they weren't vibrations because I've experienced those before ....this felt more like my body began to twist ...It felt like my neck bended towards my back in some way ...and my back began to twist ....it didn't hurt but it surprised me ...so I just said, "Whoa! Never mind" ...and went to sleep like a normal person, lol.

Well yea ...then I woke up again a few hours later and decided to try again ...this time I just layed there for a while ...I was very comfortable and felt no itches or urges to move ...my mind wandered a bit ...and I had to bring myself back to focus a few times by counting ...anyways ...I kept at this for a while and nothing happened ...my body got heavy eventually and at one point I felt my heart beat increase ...but that was freaky as well because my fingers were under my other wrist ...and I felt my heart beat in that wrist VERY hard ...like the wave went through my whole arm ...yea it sounds retarted but only cuz it's so hard to explain =/ ...I didn't know if it was SP or something ....when you're in SP ...can you still feel things? cuz my body was heavy but I still felt my bed and my dog laying next to me ...I didn't know what to do from there so I just went to sleep normally ...and had a false awakening ...

So yea ...sorry for the really long post ...but any tips would be GREATLY appreciated ...how do I know when I should try and make an exit to a lucid dream??...cuz I don't think I'm the type to see images ...I never do ...just vibrations and my freaky heart beat.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

i also have recently taken back to lucid dreaming, welcome.

that feeling of your neck arching back towards your back sounds like SP to me. when you try to pick your head up does it seem to snap back down? its probably also accompanied by an increase in heart rate because its a very foreign feeling, and also your body is breathing by itself so not having the use of your own diaphragm can feel frightening.

yes you can feel things in SP, though if and when i get it, its unpleasant enough that i try to wake myself up anyway. im unsure how exactly to cross over that line between simple SP and lucid dreaming, but i suppose recognizing that your in SP might be the first step.
